PERSEUS x Iperdrone.0 Mission
We’re thrilled to announce the successful deployment of Iperdrone.0 satellite aboard SpaceX’s Transporter-11 last week, with inside our cold gas propulsion system PERSEUS.

This mission, funded by Agenzia Spaziale Italiana and led by Centro Italiano Ricerche Aerospaziali – CIRA, Tyvak International, and Kayser Italia, is the first technology demonstrator of several future missions for an in-orbit servicing CubeSat that will be able to operate and to perform inspection maneuvers around a predefined target and to return safely to Earth, allowing the recovery of the on-board payload.

The Iperdrone.0 program as a whole is structured into several consecutive and incremental missions. Their implementation will allow for the progressive achievement of increasingly challenging objectives, from technology demonstration to asset inspection and re-entry.

Iperdrone.0 is a 6U nanosatellite and is the first mission of the program. Its goal is to perform proximity operations around a virtual point, altitude lowering within a predefined corridor (de-orbiting), and disposal. This first mission will demonstrate enabling technologies such as the PERSEUS Cold Gas propulsion system and navigation cameras, all developed as part of the project.
Our PERSEUS is ready to show off its skills… stay tuned for his power up!
