MECHANICAL ENGINEER

This figure will be in charge of design, development and industrialization of propulsion components and pressurized systems.
The role is strongly oriented toward CAD design, manufacturing processes and hardware integration.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preliminary and detailed 3D CAD design of mechanical components
  • Design pressurized systems and combustion chamber hardware
  • Define tolerances and manufacturing specifications
  • Identify optimal materials and manufacturing processes (subtractive & additive)
  • Support procurement and supplier follow-up
  • Develop assembly procedures and manufacturing documentation
  • Support integration and hardware testing activities
  • Collaborate with structural engineers for design validation
  • Work in a quality-based environment
  • Work on a lean based and agile company

Background

  • MSc in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in structural analysis
  • Good knowledge of SolidWorks / Fusion / similar CAD tools
  • Knowledge on mechanical design and manufacturing processes, both subtractive and 3d printing

JUNIOR STRUCTURAL ENGINEER

This figure joins the structural analysis team supporting the development of propulsion hardware, pressurized systems and high-performance aerospace components.
The role is strongly focused on structural verification and FEM analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Perform linear and non-linear FEM analyses of structural components
  • Conduct structural verification of pressurized systems and combustion chambers
  • Perform hand calculations for preliminary sizing and validation
  • Support fatigue and structural margin assessments
  • Contribute to structural test definition and correlation
  • Analyze structural behaviour under static and dynamic loads
  • Work closely with design engineers to validate structural integrity
  • Work in a quality-based environment
  • Work on a lean based and agile company

Background

  • MSc in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in structural analysis
  • Good knowledge of FEM software (preferably Nastran)

SENIOR STRUCTURAL ENGINEER

This figure will be in charge of verification activities of propulsion systems, pressurized components and rotating hardware.
This role focuses on advanced FEM modelling, structural integrity and certification-driven analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Structural sizing and verification of propulsion components (combustion chambers, pressure vessels, turbomachinery housings)
  • Definition of load cases and boundary conditions
  • Advanced linear and non-linear FEM analysis (Nastran preferred)
  • Fatigue, fracture mechanics and damage tolerance assessment
  • Margin of safety calculation and structural reports
  • Correlation between FEM and test results
  • Support to qualification campaigns and design reviews (PDR/CDR/QR)
  • Interface with manufacturing and test departments
  • Work in a quality-based environment
  • Work on a lean based and agile company

Background

  • MSc in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
  • 5+ years in aerospace structural analysis
  • Knowledge of CAD design (SolidWorks / Fusion / similar CAD tools)
  • Experience with ECSS or equivalent aerospace structural standards
  • Strong knowledge of metallic alloys and composite materials

TEST ENGINEER – PLASMA PROPULSION & ANTENNA SYSTEMS

Location: Technology for Propulsion and Innovation S.p.A. (T4i) – Monselice (PD), Italy

The Test Engineer specialized in Plasma Propulsion and RF Antenna Systems will be responsible for testing electric propulsion units and their RF subsystems.
The role focuses on plasma ignition, RF power systems, antenna integration and vacuum testing of electric thrusters.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute test campaigns for plasma propulsion systems
  • Support integration and testing of RF antenna assemblies
  • Operate thermal vacuum chambers for plasma ignition testing
  • Measure thrust performance and plasma parameters
  • Interface with electrical engineers for power supply and RF system debugging
  • Validate system performance under different operational regimes
  • Support environmental and qualification testing
  • Work in a quality-based environment
  • Work on a lean based and agile company

Background

  • MSc in Aerospace, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • 1–3 years in electric propulsion or high-vacuum plasma testing
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Plasma physics fundamentals
    • RF systems and antenna integration
    • Vacuum systems and cleanroom procedures
    • High-voltage and electrical test setups
    • LabVIEW / data acquisition systems
