We are developing chemical rocket motors since 2006. We started developing Hybrid Rocket Motors based on nitrous oxide and paraffin wax in the frame of the Rocket Assisted Take-Off Booster program, achieving two flight demonstrations in 2009 and 2010. In 2014 we started working on hydrogen peroxide technology, performing more than 500 tests on different motors: mono-propellant, bi-propellant and hybrids on a range between 50 N to 10 kN of thrust.

Highly stabilized hydrogen peroxide based rocket motors.
Whether we have a wide expertise also operating with nitrous oxide, our key technology for the oxidizer is highly-stabilized hydrogen peroxide.
Hydrogen peroxide is green and non toxic; it requires just normal chemical suites and proper procedures to be safely handled.
We have developed our motors around the highly stabilized hydrogen peroxide, which reduces compatibility issues.
We perform in-situ concentration of our hydrogen peroxide. This eliminate transportation issues of highly concentrated hydrogen peroxide, and allows us to operate with a concentration level up to 95%.
Hydrogen peroxide is a dense and versatile propellant, which can be used in many different configurations: to feed mono-propellant, bi-propellant, hybrid propellant rocket motors, enabling throttleability and multiple restartability of the motors.
Regarding hybrid rocket motors, we are one of the groups with more established expertise on using paraffin wax as solid fuel. We are working with this liquefying fuel since 2007, casting fuel grains up to 200 kg, acquiring a wide database on fuel properties. We have performed more than 500 tests on motors using paraffin wax, from laboratory scale to full scale, in the range between 100 N to 30 kN, acquiring also flight experience.
Paraffin wax is a green fuel. In combination with H2O2 as oxidizer, exhaust gases are water steam and CO2.
High regression rates
Thanks to its liquefying characteristic, it provides high regression rates, thus allowing simple single port fuel grains.
Our paraffin has good thermomechanical performance able to withstand launch vibrations and in-orbit temperature stresses.
We have acquired expertise in casting fuel grains of different sizes up to 200 kg.
